Cancer ♋ August 2020 Horoscope: Love, Money & Career

Throughout the whole of your birthday month and the majority of July things stagnated. In any given month the Sun will always move from one area of your chart to the other, Venus and Mercury will change signs at least once and Mars once every other month. However, the latter three have either already spent time in retrograde motion or are preparing to, spending months rather than weeks in an area of chart. Venus, Mercury and Mars all ended July where they started and as the Sun spent the final 10 days of your birthday month in opposition with all three planets in Capricorn, this may have put a dent on your confidence.

Yet from the get go August is a very different month and you will be able to feel this from the get go. Until Mercury leaves Cancer on 5th August there might still be some pressure as he too moves into opposition with all three planets in your opposing sign Capricorn but as he is a lot faster than the Sun and because he looks at things more objectively, this won’t have last month’s heavy connotations. If this does create any personal and/or relationship tension, as the planet of communication Mercury is on hand to ensure the communication lines are open.

It is then that Mercury will join the Sun in your income sector and with Mars in the second month of his longest visit to your career sector in 32 years and the South Node in your work sector, this is the start of the most exciting months of the year across the income, work and career fronts. In the meantime, held back by a retrograde phase that has kept her in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart for the last four months, Venus will finally return to Cancer on 8th August to give your heart a voice. Venus will eventually face the same clashes the Sun and Mercury faced but not until the very end of the month and into early September. Fortunately, by then the Sun and Mercury will be in your communication sector by then.

LoveCancer August 2020 Love Horoscope

While Mercury will clash with all three planets in your relationship sector before leaving Cancer on 5th August, as the planet of communication this is more a chance to ensure the communication lines are open. The real challenges came in the final 10 days of your birthday month when the Sun opposed all three planets in your relationship sector and in the case of Saturn and Jupiter, for the last time for decades. It was the Sun’s departure that saw personal and/or relationship tension drop as soon as your birthday month ended. This might rise again when Mercury opposes Pluto on 1st/2nd August and Saturn on 4th August but this is more a push to ensure the communication lines are open.

While Venus, the planet of love will finally return to Cancer on 8th August, it won’t be until the end of the month that she will have any interaction with the planets in your relationship sector. This is Jupiter and Saturn’s last full month in retrograde motion and with Mercury still in Cancer at the start of the month because of a retrograde phase, he is still on hand to give your relationships, the past and unsaid words a voice. Held back by her own retrograde phase, Venus’ return on 8th August is a chance for the planet of love to make up for lost time and with Mercury gone by then, any relationship tension he might trigger in the early days of the month will be as well.

Instead, Venus is more focused on bringing the spirit of romance into play and to make up for lost time there. While there has been continuous planetary activity in your relationship sector all year there has been none at all on the romantic front and won’t be until next month. However, the Moon’s return to your romantic sector from 23rd August to 25th August could create the most romantically charged days of the month and of Venus’ time in Cancer. Meanwhile, Mercury’s return to your communication sector on 20th August and the Sun’s on 23rd August will give your relationships the voice they have been waiting for.

MoneyCancer August 2020 Money Horoscope

The Sun will always spend the first three weeks of August in your income sector, shining the solar spotlight on your income situation, matters and options. However, this year there are two distinct differences and they are Venus’ late return and the extraordinary professional conditions that are able to support this. The Sun has already been in your income sector for 10 days by the time you move into the new month but for the first time since 2013, he is on his own. With Venus and Mercury both held back by retrograde phases, to begin with it is more a case of identifying your options, with the most lucrative weeks of the year still in front of you.

The first to return is Mercury, who held back by a retrograde phase in Cancer finally returns on 5th August. Mercury is only here for 15 days and will leave on 20th August, giving you the smart head for money needed to get your head in the game and start taking tactical steps. It is as the Sun and Mercury move through and especially as they start to form friendly aspects to Mars and Eris in your career sector and the South Node in your work sector, this will expose the exceptional professional support. This is the start of some exciting months across the income, work and career fronts.

The Sun will always spend the first three weeks of August in your income sector but this is the first time in 17 years that the South Node has been in your work sector and the first time since 2013 that Mars has been in your career sector, though then for just a few days. With Mars in your career sector for the rest of the year and Venus not returning to your income sector until 6th September to begin the most lucrative weeks of 2020, this month is just a stepping stone. Mercury will leave on 20th August and the Sun on 23rd August but a New Moon on 19th August will create enough momentum to keep things moving until Venus returns.

CareerCancer August 2020 Career Horoscope

While the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of August in your income sector and this has the potential to be the most lucrative months of any year, to live up to its full potential there has to be something to support this professionally. Fortunately, this is exactly what you have this month and far more than you would normally expect at this time of year. Apart from last year, when you had Jupiter in your work sector and the time that Saturn was here from 2014 to 2017, there is rarely planetary activity on the job front at this time of year.

At the same time, while you have had the dwarf planet Eris in your career sector since 1926, she will always spend the second half of each year in retrograde motion. This year exceptional or out of the ordinary developments on the job and career fronts means that you have all your bases loaded, with August destined to be a good month across the income, work and career fronts and September even better. The game changers are the South Node and Mars, with the South Node making its first visit to your work sector in 17 years and Mars making his longest visit to your career sector in 32 years.

Mars returned on 28th June for what should have been a six week mission to fuel your professional passions, fighting and competitive spirit and to fire things up professionally. However, those six weeks will come and go on 9th August and instead of leaving Mars is slowing down, preparing for the retrograde turn next month that will keep him here for the rest of the year. Mars is now in the shadow of his retrograde phase, which means he is travelling across ground that he will eventually cover three times, giving you the confidence of knowing that whatever you start this month you will be able to come back to and revisit.
