While the New Year is always an opportunity to push the ‘reset’ button and there is even more incentive this year, as we bid goodbye to 2020. However, rarely do the stars beat us to the punch, pushing the ‘reset’ button before we even get the chance to and in the process, creating a year that is unlike any other year seen in recent times. The implications from 2020 will continue for months if not years but the energy that went into making last year the culmination year for everything that had been building since as far back as 2008 is gone. Instead, as Jupiter and Saturn spend their first full month in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking, there has been a seismic shift.

Jupiter and Saturn’s departure from your career sector has relieved a lot of the pressure and not just professionally while leaving you with the benefits. That includes on the career front but also in the income front, with Mars finally making it back to your income sector on 7th January. That is just two days before Venus will return to your career sector on 9th January, to begin her own belated mission to fuel your professional confidence, attract opportunities and steer things in a lucrative direction. This erases any doubts that you might lose your professional edge and if anything, this is the time when you can start reaping the rewards. This is a chance for a fresh start on the professional and income fronts.

Meanwhile, the Moon’s return to a fun, playful, romantic and creatively charged part of your chart on New Year’s Day then returning later in the month to host the first Full Moon of 2020 here on 29th January is just one reminder that life can’t be all work and no play. The other is that until returning to your career sector on 9th January, Venus will start the month in an adventurous part of your chart. At the same time, until he leaves Aries on 7th January, Mars will be encouraging you to embrace the things that excite you.

LoveAries January 2021 Love Horoscope

While things might look a little tame on the romantic and relationship fronts in the early weeks of the year that is exactly what you need. Because Mars spent the second half of 2020 in Aries and that is when the planets move through your relationship sector, there was tension between the two. However, this has left you with a better sense of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you, with the focus now more on making sure the communication lines are open. There is no planetary activity in your romantic and relationship sectors in the first half of the year and that makes the Moon’s monthly visits a lot more significant.

The Moon will start the year in your romantic sector, with 2021 getting off to a romantically charged start. While the Moon will leave on 3rd January, this is a chance to put matters of the heart front of mind from the get go. Because January is a 31 day month, this will give the Moon time to come full circle, making its second visit to your romantic sector for the year from 28th January to 30th January. This visit is even more special because the Full Moon this will create on 28th January will be the first Full Moon of 2021. With the Moon returning to your romantic sector on New Year’s Day and the first Full Moon of 2021 falling in your romantic sector suggests that the love gods are trying to send a message.

There might not be any planetary activity on the romantic front but the Moon is definitely coming through for you this month. The Moon’s first visit to your relationship sector for the year will be less spectacular but running from 5th January to 7th January this will be a valuable chance to check in. Mars will be in his final days in Aries by then but will leave on 7th January, before they can clash. This will, however, still be a chance to put a balance between your personal and relationship needs to the test. Meanwhile Venus, the planet of love will be doing her best to bring the spirit of romance and adventure together before leaving an adventurous part of your chart on 9th January.

MoneyAries January 2021 Money Horoscope

While it appears to be business as usual on both sides of the financial fence as you move into 2021 the tides have begun to turn and there should be a sense of expectancy. When Mars returns to Aries each year it is to spend six weeks getting your new Mars cycle off the ground before leaving and then returning to your income sector. Mars returned to Aries in June so should have not only returned to your income sector last August but should be long gone by now. Instead, as you move into 2021 Mars is still in Aries, held back by a two month retrograde phase that has created his longest visit in 32 years.

With Uranus in retrograde motion in your income sector since August, this put the brakes on any forward movement on the income front and sensing Mars’ approach but then never actually returning, this may have led to frustration or even despair. In addition, the money gods used that time to draw your attention onto the other side of the financial fence, where a focus on your financial situation and money matters only ran its course just before Christmas. However, as you move into 2021 there will be a sense of anticipation and this time it is about to be realised. The change will begin when Mars finally leaves Aries and return to your income sector on 7th January.

It is a week later that Uranus’ direct turn on 14th January will release the final brake and everything that has been held back during the second half of 2020 can start to flow again. Because Mars is still not back up to full speed, instead of moving through your income sector in six weeks he is here until March, getting the year off to a lucrative start. Because so much has been held back and for so long, when things start to flow they could really take off. What will help with this is that Venus will return to your career sector on 9th January. As the planet of money, Venus will return to fuel your professional confidence, attract opportunities and steer things in a lucrative direction and will spend her early days at a friendly aspect to Mars.

CareerAries January 2021 Career Horoscope

The Sun will always spend the first three weeks of December in your career sector but this year the energy is very different. Gone is the pressure from the last three years and while there is a huge amount of potential there is also a sense that there is an opportunity for a fresh start or to push the ‘reset’ button. If it feels like everything until now has prepared you for 2021 then you are right, with 2020 the year that everything until then had led up to and everything from then will lead on from. It was Saturn’s departure from your career sector just before Christmas that ended a three year professional boot camp, something that will empower you for years if not decades to come.

Eventually you will look back at the period from December 2017 to December 2020 as the years that have left you with the power to move mountains if you have to, years you will be forever grateful for but at the same time wouldn’t want to repeat. It was just three days later that Jupiter left, wrapping up a 12 month visit that has planted seeds for the future that you will continue to harvest throughout 2021 and beyond. When the Sun and Mercury returned to your career sector on 21st December it was to find Jupiter and Saturn gone, allowing their more mundane focus to have a fresh start, benefiting from but not tethered to the past.

Jupiter and Saturn were always building for the future rather than immediate gains while with Mercury leaving on 9th January and the Sun on 20th January, they want it to happen now. It is Venus’ return on 9th January and a New Moon on 13th January that will give this new professional year a boost but also its distinct flavour. Venus didn’t visit your career sector at all in 2020 so was not impacted by the challenges last year. Along with Mars, who will return to your income sector on 7th January, Venus will return to fuel your professional confidence, attract opportunities and steer things in a lucrative direction.
