When You are Not Like Your Astrological Sign

While you might already know what your astrological sign is, what might be confusing is when all of the books and websites you read don’t tell you that you’re the right sign. You read all of the descriptions, only to shake your head and wonder why they don’t add up to your personality. There are a number of reasons why this might be the case, and the truth is that no one is completely like their astrological sign - no matter what they say. But the sign qualities can give you insight into your inner world. Or, at least, a part of it.
Born Too Early? Born Too Late?
When you don’t feel that you’re like what your astrological sign is ‘supposed’ to be, you might want to talk with your parents about your birth date. This might help you as you may find out that you were supposed to be born a month earlier or a month later. Though this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be like your ‘traditional’ sign description, it can help you to understand other influences. Try to look at the signs that are related to the other birth dates that you were supposed to have. You might find that some of those qualities are more appropriate, if not completely appropriate to what you expected to see in your astrological report.
What’s Holding You Back?
Another thought to consider when you’re looking at apparently ill-matched astrological descriptions is that you might not be fully realizing who you are as a person. If you’re someone who is afraid of the world, for example, you might not be as boisterous as your sign is supposed to be. Instead of thinking that something is wrong with your sign, begin to explore what’s keeping you from fully expressing at least some of the sign’s qualities.
Better yet, try out some of the other descriptions of your sign to see if acting in a certain way might help you to feel better about yourself and your life. If anything, you can always go back to the way you were before you found out about your sign’s qualities. For many people, their astrological sign may not be completely accurate, but there’s a kernel of truth in it. Just look at the overall qualities and think about how you express them. Just because your sign is supposed to be loud and boastful doesn’t mean that you need to act like that. You may have found other ways to be boastful without having to be loud.
In the end, you are someone who is guided by your experiences and the people around you - as well as by your choices. While the stars may have a say in what sign you are, you are the one who is in control of what you do. That said, if you don’t like who you are, then why not find a way to change it into something you DO want to be?
