In astrology, there are twelve different signs. The signs are based on the day and month a person is born. Each sign is known for having different types of personality and characteristics. This type of information is handy when you are looking for generally compatibility. However, most of us are beyond looking for general friendships. If you have just moved to a new city or have been buried in work for the past five years, you might be the exception to the rule. If not, you are probably seeking to add new friends to your roster for certain activities. Qualities are three separate categories that explain the general vibe of the signs. The three qualities are Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable. Cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Capricorn and Libra. Fixed signs are Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio and Taurus. Mutable signs are Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius, Virgo.
As the Cardinal signs tend to be very active and like to be in charge, they are great friends to have if you want to take action. These are the people that would be great at helping you start a book club, planning an event or a trip. Just remember, if you are also a Cardinal sign, there might be a power struggle as you both try to get your own way.
If you are looking for someone to get the job done, make friends with a Fixed sign. This Quality is very stable, stubborn and determined. If you want to learn how to play golf, bridge or follow through on any commitment, partner up with a Fixed sign. Just be ready to commit at the same level they will.
Mutable signs are flexible and tend to go with the flow. A Mutable sign is a great friend to have if you are interested in trying new things, like dining at an exotic restaurant or going to an art gallery just to check it out. A Mutable sign isn’t too concerned with accountability and makes for an excellent casual friend.
The next time you are interested in making a new friend, consider what activity you would like to participate in and match your invitation accordingly. Working with the Qualities, you might be surprised at the new and effective friendships you can build.
