If you don’t eat this way already, try changing just one thing in your diet at a time, so you don’t feel overwhelmed. You can slowly incorporate fresh foods until you have a diet that’s as natural as possible.
You will also want to set aside some time for meditation. This is the practice of letting your mind empty of the thoughts you have rushing around. Try to sit in a quiet place for ten minutes a day. When you do this, try to keep your mind empty of any thoughts. If you start to think about anything, simply push the thought away. In time, you will find this practice is easier and that you can keep your mind quiet at other times of the day too.
It can also be a good practice for you to do something very physical every day. Try a kickboxing class or some other high-energy activity. This will help your body release any stress, and it will allow you to feel more present in your day. You don’t have to start out with an hour a day for this to be effective. Even ten minutes of exercise can make the difference in healing your body.
The goal for this month is to make sure your body gets more attention and that you allow it to heal from your previous stress.
