As all of us know, Nostradamus was an extremely gifted and highly spiritual person who wrote a series of prophesies that unlocked several hidden secrets of the world. Living in the early and middle parts of the 16 th century, Nostradamus acquire name and fame for his wide ranging prophesies. His brilliant yet very meaningful quatrains are the ultimate sources of some of the most revealing secrets of the history. These quatrains conceal a lot of information about all events that might occur in the future. In all, Nostradamus predictions contain 942 quatrains all embedded within a number of centuries (one century equals 100 quatrains, the last contains just 42 quatrains).
Experts from all over the world have been debating as to how these quatrains can influence the course of the history. Most of these quatrains predict the death of famous people, wars, occurrence of celestial events, rise of tyrants and a list of hazardous natural disasters. Most of the Nostradamus predictions are well entrenched within a poem of just four lines (one quatrain), but the meaning of these four lines are something that is simply out of this world. Each poem contains hidden meanings of some future events. All quatrains are written in a rhyme style mainly in French with a little bit of Italian, Greek and Latin sprinkled in between. Most of the Nostradamus predictions use lot of symbolism and metaphors to confuse the readers. Nostradamus also used a minor changes and modifications to the meaning of the quatrains by using swapping, adding or removing certain sections of the text. At the time of his living, French considered prediction or soothsaying as acts of witchcraft and they used to kill the person who committed the crime.
French:
Bestes farouches de faim fleuues tranner;
Plus part du champ encontre Hister sera,
En cage de fer le grand fera treisner,
Quand rien enfant de Germain obseruera.
English:
Beasts ferocious from hunger will swim across rivers:
The greater part of the region will be against the Hister,
The great one will cause it to be dragged in an iron cage,
When the German child will observe nothing.
However, this Nostradamus prediction is very confusing as the name Hitler appears as Hister! Experts believe that, Nostradamus predictions had a peculiar way of changing the syntaxes of the words to make it appear hidden to your eyes! However, one thing is certain! Nostradamus predictions always related to bad things that occur in the world. He never wrote about good times that might occur in this world. Instead, he chose all bad future events that could be hazardous to the world and humans. A majority of quatrains dealt with things like war , intrigue, treachery, famine, diseases, conflicts, volcanoes, revolution, earthquakes, avalanches flooding, and other naturally occurring calamitous events.
Nostradamus faced tremendous difficulties while predicting future events. Interpretation of future events is far more difficult than any other things. The overall interpretation of certain events is very specific and down to the point while many others are too general in nature. Those that make sense do not need any explanations while others quite confusing and at times misleading. Most of the centuries and their quatrains need detailed explanation and corroborations. All the quatrains are very complex as the words used are highly technical and detailed. The more you read them the more you will make a sense out of them. The list of Nostradamus predictions is too long and they provide a wonderful opportunity to get a feeling about the historic events that occurred or that might occur in the future. One thing is very clear- all the 942 quatrains of the Nostradamus predictions relate to natural events that borders on bad things.
Some of the quatrains are very methodic and orderly with their chronological arrangement of explanations. In some cases, the first two lines of the quatrains may describe about one particular event of a year while the other two lines may suddenly deviate to other events that are almost unconnected to the first event. However, there might be some connection to this perceived anomaly as some events that occur in the history are the perceived precursors to a number of future events. The majority of Nostradamus predictions relate to the geographical locations lying in around France, Italy, the Mediterranean, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
(Century 1, Quatrain 35)
The blood of the just will be demanded of London,
Burnt by the fire in the year 66
(Century 2; Quatrain 51)
(Century 1, Quatrain 14)
Before the war comes,
the great wall will fall,
The King will be executed, his death coming too soon will be lamented.
(The guards) will swim in blood,
Near the River Seine the soil will be bloodied.
(Century 2, Quatrain 57)
From Castille, Franco will bring out the assembly,
The ambassador will not agree and cause a schism:
The people of Rivera will be in the crowd,
And they will refuse entry into the Gulf
(Century 9, Quatrain 16)
(Century 9, Quatrain 33)
(Century 1, Quatrain 27)
However, Nostradamus predictions are not always correct and related as the prediction about the end of the world, 1999 prediction. As an official to the royal throne of the French, Nostradamus knew that correctly predicting the future could cause big trouble to his life. A complex set of reasons drive Nostradamus to obscure his writings with confusing words and sentences. This is also due to the extreme breadth of Nostradamus prediction power. His visions spanned thousands of years and this vastness might have caused little bit of confusions in his predictions.
Some of the main reasons that make his writings too difficult to read and understand are:
Most of Nostradamus’ predictions are retrospective in nature, as almost all events that were identified have been deciphered only after their actual occurrence. Very few have been explained prior to the event. Nostradamus is one of the most celebrated figures in the history for his brilliant predictions and prophesies. His predictions have aroused too much curiosity among the people of the world right from an early era to the present day. In spite of a number of controversies, he is still remains an enigma to millions of people from around the world.
