Pair watching love movie1. Gone with the wind

This epic movie, set during the American Civil War, stars Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh. Renowned for a sweeping, epic feel and two lead performances that became part of cinematic history, this movie is widely viewed as the best love film or romance melodrama of all time. There is really only one word that you can use to describe this movie, and it is ‘epic’. However, rather than get lost in all of it, the two lead actors manage to portray emotions that help the audience focus on them, even as the huge world of the story turns and threatens to swallow everyone up.

Why is it so hard to love ourselves?

Why is it so hard to love ourselves? As soon as I heard the topic, Mary Lambert’s hit song “Secrets” came to mind. In her immutably quirky way, the songstress points out the quick answer as to why it is so hard to love ourselves in the chorus: “They tell us from the time we’re young. To hide the things that we don’t like about ourselves, inside ourselves.” Although delivered in the artist’s tongue-in-cheek style, the lyrics are not all the way wrong – the woman does make a point. From an early age, we are taught to hide our weaknesses and focus on our strengths, few of us are taught to realize the strength in our weakness.

Can we be truly happy alone?

Can we be truly happy when we are alone?Yes we can, but it is a work that is in constant progress as our lives go through the many cycles and changes.

First we need to define what the words, truly happy mean to us. Presumably we mean happiness in the long term. Chocolate is most definitely short term happiness and hopefully a new lover may be our soul mate and companion for life.

Alone is being without a friend, partner, lover or spouse. This not always a problem. Sometimes its good to be alone, to do one’s own thing and at one’s own pace. The problem is that we are sociable animals. We wish to be independent but we are dependent on the society and that includes globally. Too much time spent alone can make us feel ignored, unwanted, unloved and insignificant.

Who is responsible for our own happiness by Gracepetals

Gracepetas Oranum psychicWe are! Who else should be responsible for OUR happiness? There is a very popular song with the title “Happy” written by Pharrell Williams. He “tapped in” to what we all need to live and learn. Happiness is a choice. What is it exactly that life is throwing at us? What lessons has our soul chosen to learn and experience? And how comfortable are we with who we are? What is it like to be in our skins?

6 Tricks to Happiness – Happiness is choice

6 Tricks to Happiness Happiness is choice…. as is anything we do.

1. Be yourself, not someone else that people expect you to be. Not their way, but your way.

If you take a look at all of the people you admire, my guess is most of those made the decision to pull away from the crowd at some point in their life. This could be a soul who seemed to be “different” from the moment they could walk and talk. You will hear people say they knew there was something different about that one. A light that shone. Another, who after a pivotal time in their lives took stock of themselves and made the decision to throw caution to the wind and change who they were. Then there are those who feel within their inner being, there is a missing key on the keyboard. They know it is in there somewhere… but how to access it? What note does it play? And how does this missing key “fit in” with all the other keys they are playing? What song are they trying to write and sing?

How to learn to be happy by Ava321

Ava321 Oranum expertThere is a lot of pressure on adults to be “happy” Though in the search for it we have to wonder what happiness is all about? Is it learned or is it intuitive? It boils down to this: the only way we can be “happy” is by having “happy” things happen to us. (Whatever they might be?) Unfortunately as adults that kind of forced pushy “happiness” usually leads to depression and despair. I believe it is only as children that we are born happy and are intuitively and spiritually connected to a state of happiness.
