This month your focus might be on making up for a financial shortfall of some kind. It could be you are faced with an emergency or that simply all of your debts catch up with you. Before going to a bank and asking for a loan the planets indicate that there are friends and family out there who will be willing to help you. This might be a better low-interest option for you if you need money. Otherwise the planets indicate that it should be quite easy for you to get a loan from a bank or a lender.

Mercury, which rules air signs like Gemini, Aquarius and Libra, is travelling backwards this month in a movement called a retrograde. This planetary influence slows everything down and causes problems with technology. Librans should be sure to back up their computers so they do not lose data. Do not be surprised if people stand you up, do not receive emails or if your phone suddenly stops taking calls. This is part of this influence.

Mercury is a communication planet so things can go awry between you and others. January will be a period of time in 2012 when you might be very easily misunderstood. At work you might want to make sure that you get everything down on paper so that there are no misunderstandings.

This is also not the month for you to buy anything big like a house or a car. Your judgment will be off. The Mercury retrograde also does not favor travel for your sign which will be fine by you because you are not much in the mood to travel physically or meet new people anyway. You will be just fine, staying at home and cultivating your mind.

You might also have to scale back financially in order to make ends meet. Once again be sure to be patient with this set-back. It is a temporary one. The planets also indicate that whatever you borrow now will be easiest to pay back during the last three months of the year so that is a reasonable time to tell your creditors that you will need the money.

If you are looking for a job the planets indicate that is a very good time for you to upgrade your resume. Do not be afraid to be innovative and creative in your approach to job applications. The competition out there is incredibly fierce. Be sure to follow up everything you do with a phone call or email. Do not trust anything to fate.

As you could be a bit more stressed than usual this month be sure to get extra rest, take your vitamins and take walks whenever you can. Avoid stagnating on the couch or eating too much in an absent-minded way. Many Librans are prone to weight gain because they love to eat so much. This is not the best month for romance for Librans. You simply will not have the time.

Your children and other’s kids will be looking for you to set an example for them. Be a touchstone and help them remain confident even though they might be very much affected by negative events going on in the world. Teach them that money is not everything and take walks and small expeditions with them to show them that it is the small things in life that are the best things. This is also a good month for you to teach your children and other members of the family how to recycle or how to re-use or rehabilitate items that you were thinking of just throwing out.
