If you have been irresponsible in your financial life -living above your means, borrowing frivolously, not being honest in your financial dealings - this could be a very traumatic transit. Saturn abhors these kinds of things. His spiritual function is to set things in 'right order', and to get things in order he will create some crises. You are confronted with the consequences of your irresponsibility and the bill falls due - no way to avoid it. Once these things are taken care of, Saturn will rebuild your financial life on more firm and solid footing. His desire is to give you long-term and enduring wealth, but the obstacles to it have to be removed. New financial attitudes will have to be developed.
However, if you have been responsible in your financial life, you have nothing to fear from this transit. It will only make you richer. Many people achieve their greatest successes under a Saturn transit. But they earn it.
In general Leos are not dishonest. Their problem in linance is overspending. Life is to be enjoyed, and that always comes first. Rarely do they 'save for a rainy day'. So reining in the spending is going to be the challenge. Don't deprive yourself or punish yourself. Set up a budget that allows for 'having fun' - but keep these expenditures in proportion. Now is not the time to be dramatic in money matters - to make grand statements - to buy things you can't afford in order to show off.
Leos are grand speculators. I'd wager that if you took a poll of places like Las Vegas, Monte Carlo or Atlantic City, you would find a huge - disproportionate - percentage of Leos there. But this is not the year for that. (Last year was much better than this year.) This is a year for earning the 'hard way' - through work. The good news is that there are great jobs available - dream jobs - and this is a good financial signal.
Those of you who employ others will expand your workforce. But still the earnings are coming from work - either your work or the work of your employees. It is not a year for winning the lottery.
As investments, property (commercial), blue-chip type stocks, and the health care industry look very attractive. (These are interesting as business ventures, too.) This is a year where 'value investing' rather than momentum-type investing is called for.
In general (and this is another problem for the Leo mentality) there needs to be a long-term outlook on wealth. Avoid the seemingly quick money this year - quick money might not be as quick as you think. Build wealth over time, in evolutionary ways.
Sometimes a person prospers by expanding the income and sometimes by reducing waste - cutting costs. The latter road is better this year. Buy what you need, of course -Saturn is not trying to make you suffer - but avoid what you don't need. This is a year for breaking 'spending addictions'.
