Last year when Saturn moved into Virgo, health started to become very delicate. Three long-term planets were making stressful aspects to you. This year the burden is lighter as Pluto, starts to move away from a stressful aspect. He moves out of Sagittarius where he has been since 1995 and into Capricorn.
Still, you are not out of the woods. Pluto will still be in stressful aspect from January 1 to January 27 and from June 14 to November 27. The most critical periods to watch are from February 19 to March 20; July 1 to September 22; November 16 to December 21. These are times when the short term planets also start to stress you out. These are limes to rest and relax more - take a holiday if you can - and locus more on health. Focus on the essentials in your life and let the inessentials go. Do everything possible to maximize your energy. Delegate tasks where possible. If you give health more attention you should pass through these periods with flying colours.
Pluto, the planet mentioned above, also happens to be your health planet. Its move from Sagittarius to Capricorn has major health implications. It shows a new attitude to health and new ways to enhance your health. Yes, you CAN do much to enhance your health. Yes, you CAN prevent problems from developing - and the Horoscope gives us some important clues.
Pluto rules the colon, bladder and sexual organs. So these organs always need more attention. Safe sex is more of an issue for you than for other Signs. Also there is a need for sexual moderation. Neither too much nor too little. If you listen to your body, it will tell you when enough is enough. With your health planet now moving into your 8th House of Sex, everything we say is reinforced. Also, libido seems much stronger this year, you will tend to be more sexually active than usual and might tend to overdo things.
Your health planet in the Sign of Sagittarius (January 1 to January 27 and June 14 to November 27) shows a continued need to pay more attention to the liver and thighs. Thighs can be regularly massaged and the liver can be strengthened in many natural ways. (See the reflexology chart opposite.)
Your health planet in Capricorn (January 27 to June 14 and November 27 to December 31) shows a need to pay more attention to the spine, knees, teeth, bone structure and overall skeletal alignment. Regular visits to a chiropractor might be a good idea this year (and long term). Make sure you are getting enough calcium for your bones. Give the knees more support when you exercise or indulge in sports. Yoga, Pilates and Alexander Technique are good ways to strengthen the spine, too.
The health planet in the 8th House shows that you will benefit from detox regimes over the long haul. Good health is not about adding things to your body, but about getting rid of what doesn't belong there. There are many detox methods out there - herbal and mechanical. They are all good. Fasting on a regular basis will be good for serious problems. (If you combine it with prayer it is even more powerful.)
With the health planet in 8th House many of you might be contemplating surgery. Perhaps surgery has been recommended as a solution. Always get second opinions, and remember that 'fasting is like a surgeon's knife'.
Your health planet in the Sign of Capricorn also shows a shift in health attitudes - you seem more conservative about health matters and most of you gravitate to orthodox medicine. The new and untried therapies don't suit you. You want things that have been well tested and well documented.
The main health danger this year is neglect. Your 6th House of Health is basically empty. Your tendency would be to ignore things or shouldn't. You will have to almost force yourself to pay more attention this year.
