    He doesn’t seem to notice that I’ve arrived. I approach him pretty much immediately because he’s the one I’m here to see.
    You can tell a lot about a guy by the friends he keeps. And how they act.
    His friends snicker and roll their eyes while we talk. He just ignores them.
    His friends are pretty much coupled up with their girlfriends. No one seems to notice us.
    His friends keep interrupting and dragging him off to drink somewhere else.
    Think hard about the times you go out with groups of friends. How often is he there?
    He’s always there. I heard he asked if I was going to be there, too.
    He’s usually there but none of us makes it to every gathering.
    Sometimes he’s there. Sometimes he’s there but leaves early. Or with another woman.
    They say guys like to show their feelings by helping those they love. What’s he done for you lately?
    Anything I ask him to do. He grabs me stuff downtown, photocopies my files, and even picks up stuff that he thinks I’ll like.
    He’s gone out of his way to help me out and I’d do the same for him.
    He’s nice but we don’t have that kind of relationship (yet).
    You want to do something. What’s he think of that?
    Every word that comes out of my mouth is the best thing he’s ever done.
    It’s usually easy enough to convince him to go along with my ideas but I know next time it’s a monster truck rally for the gang.
    He does his own thing.
    If your life were an open book, would he read it?
    He’s always asking questions about my feelings, thoughts, activities, garden, neighbors, ex-boyfriends, etc.
    We have really intense and personal conversations. Yeah, he’d at least glance at such a book.
    Only if I sat on him and forced him to listen as I read.
