When the full moon arrives each month, it presents an opportunity for us to learn more about ourselves. Even when the moon isn’t in our particular birth sign, we can find out more about who we are when we work with the energies of that particular month. This month, the full moon is in Capricorn, a sign most often associated with order and independence. In this time, we are offered the opportunity to learn more about where our own lives are ordered, and where they are not.
The Richness of Order
One of the things Capricorns are known for is their ability to get things done. While they might not be the most perfect person for the job, they are the person you can count on. During this full moon, you can begin to look at the areas in your life where you might need to bring in more order or more structure. Whether you’re a person that is highly unstructured or who just needs a bit of a structure tune-up, the energies of this moon can help you get started. Additionally, this month can also offer you the opportunity to look at your life to see if you have too much order. When this is the case, you can create a sense of rigidity and an inability to flow with life, which is no better for you than having too much looseness in your order.
Too Much Independence?
As people begin to realize that they have too much order in their lives, or they begin to introduce order and it feels like too much, they can resist. There are certainly times in your life, after all, when you decided to create more structure in your life, only to find that you immediately resisted and went to the side of having too much independence. There has to be a balance between these two opposites.
Moving into a New Energy
What you might find with this full moon in Capricorn is that you are able to move into a new way of thinking about order. Order can become a container into which you place the things that are important in your life. You can begin to collect the priorities in your life and you can begin to change the way that you place them in your life. It’s not a matter of creating a structure that is rigid or that can’t be changed, but rather that you create a new way of looking at your life.
When you can find order in the chaos that is often life, you can begin to change the way that you feel about the things you need to do. No longer will you feel bound by your life, but you will be in control of all of the things you do. And as you do this, you will find you’re no longer running around, trying to keep up. With this newfound outlook and energy, you can begin to see the patterns in your life that can propel you to bigger and better things.
