Signs to Get Fit: Consult Astrology to Create an Effective Fitness Program

It can be easy to be jealous of a fitness fanatic – the girls who prance off to the gym during their lunch hour, the guys who are up at 5 a.m. every morning to run a mile, the friend who bores you to tears with yoga retreat anecdotes. But it’s not necessary to be jealous of these people. The fact is, these workout wonders have simply found what makes them tick in the fitness arena. You can, too!

Here’s why - everyone is different.  Pretty obvious, right? Wrong. When it comes to working out, too many of us waste time and energy berating ourselves for not being like everyone else. This is completely non-productive. Everyone is different and the astrology signs prove it.

Tailoring a fitness plan to what is right for you should involve taking a major step back before taking a step forward. You need to evaluate who you are and what you like. Otherwise, you might find yourself signing up for a gym membership that you really don’t have the temperament to commit to. This isn’t because you’re lazy; it’s simply not right for you. Since the word temperament was used in the example, let’s take it a bit farther – would a Pit Bull want the same workout as a Pekinese? Uh, no.

To determine what’s right for you, find your sign on the chart below:

Fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius.
Earth: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn.
Air: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.
Water: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces.

Now, take a look at the description for each of the following elements:

Fire: Leader, impulsive, action-oriented.
Earth: Practical, patient, methodical, mellow.
Air: Creative, social, goal-oriented, progressive.
Water: Gentle, intuitive, sensitive, sensory.

Consider this… would a fire sign do a great job committing to a workout class that does the same, low-impact routine every day? Would an earth sign be excited about switching up a work-out routine on a daily basis? Would an air sign want to start a work-out program without a sufficient explanation as to the point of the process? Would a water sign feel inspired by a loud and aggressive dance class?

Although there are exceptions to every rule, examining where you fall under the elements can help you figure out what might work for you in the gym. For example, results-oriented air signs might do well with a personal trainer who can explain the workout process, set goals and help the air sign do well with results. The water sign might excel in a spiritually orientated yoga class.

Understanding who you are is a big part of achieving success in any area of life. The same holds true at the gym. Taking the time to analyze where you’ve failed in the past will help you figure out where to move forward in the future. It’s not rocket science – it’s elemental.
